The connectors on either side are solid closed and can be used with a 20 gauge jump ring or smaller (22, 24, etc). The stones set in the bezel cups are colored CZ s, they are colored to represent the birthstone in the chart and are not the stones noted, however the colors match. CZ s are polished synthetic stones made artificially made to look similar to the stones noted.
